Join us at our Annual Christmas Party including a 3 Course Meal for the Community at the Civic Hall, Connah's Quay on Sunday 28th December 2025 from 12pm. No charge, it's FREE!

What's it all about?

This free, annual event is a sincere expression of goodwill towards the residents of our community.

We're hosting a day filled with festive entertainment, warmth, friendship, and a festive three-course Christmas dinner for 170 people. Completely free of charge and open to all members of the community, this gathering is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and share in the joy of the season.

This is a fun, family-focused event where everyone can enjoy themselves. To ensure a welcoming atmosphere for all, no alcohol will be served, and we kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing or consuming alcohol at the party. Thank you for your understanding! ... see booking info & terms

Community Awards - We have your nominations!

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new Community Awards segment this year. We have invited you, the public, to nominate someonone who truly makes a difference — whether it’s an outstanding adult, a dedicated senior citizen, an inspiring young person (child up to 17), a brilliant teacher, or a local business that goes the extra mile. One chosen champion from each category has been chosen and invited, along with a guest, to attend the Christmas Party where they’ll be presented with their Community Award.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to put someone forward — we were genuinely blown away by the responses. Winners will be announced at our Christmas Party and shared on our social media afterwards. We can’t wait to celebrate them with you 🎄✨

How to book

You can reserve your place(s) online or by visiting either Nanny Biscuit pantry during their usual open times. We would also appreciate your help in sharing this invitation with those who may not have online access or may be isolated. This includes families and individuals as well as older or disadvantaged people. Let's spread some festive cheer to all, especially to those who need it most! Remind them, it is completely FREE, no catch!

Who gets an invite?
Residents of our Deeside Community are welcome to request an invitation. You have the option to reserve a spot for yourself, your family, a small group, or individual(s) you are acquainted with (please inform them beforehand). For larger group bookings, kindly get in touch with James Hunt directly at 07739 929591.
Dietary Info and Allergens
Meat and vegetarian options will be available. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate specific preferences, allergies, or intolerances due to third-party catering. An allergen list, is provided below, though we are not responsible for last-minute changes by the caterer - any updates or changes where applicable will be posted on this website as soon as possible. If you have concerns, please contact the organisers or speak to your server on the day.

How is the event funded?
Primarily by the not-for-profit, local plumbing and heating firm CAFgas CIC and Nanny Biscuit's Pantries together with the kind generosity of sponsors detailed below. We are seeking donations from the public and sponsorship from local businesses so if you feel you can help in any way, financially or otherwise, please get in touch as we would love to hear from you. Local business sponsorship
We are typically asking a donation of £250 from two local businesses as our main sponsors and just £100 from smaller businesses or groups, to help pay for the event costs, but any donation would be appreciated. You will be entitled to free advertising on our promotional materials, mentions on the awards, website and social media. We expect press to be there on the day, so plenty of publicity involved. Of course, should you wish to remain anonymous, we would completely respect that decision also, and will thank you personally for your help in making this community event possible.
